Not Just A Comic Shop…
In a world of corporate acquisition it isn’t often you see businesses merge for anything other than financial gain, but instead to streamline the very best that each niche and speciality has to offer under one roof. Today, I’d like to tell you about three individuals that have broken the mould and done just that.
Michael Gwatkin, owner of ‘Asylum.Toys’, specialist in toys and collectibles. Lucy Griffiths, owner or ‘Ready Player Two’, specialist of table top and role playing games. Ric Owens, owner of ‘From The Ashes Comics’, specialist of comic books and literature. Although relatively unknown, you will soon become familiar with these names in the local business landscape as each have combined the knowledge of their chosen industries and passions to create a fantastic new store experience based right here in Eastbourne called ‘Not Just A Comic Shop’.
The shop itself does exactly as it sets out to. Offering what the average comic shop does but in a professional, well stocked and laid back atmosphere. With the promise of barista quality coffee and refreshments on the way, more seating to be added and weekly events such as gaming nights, a book club and more on the horizon, ‘Not Just A Comic Shop’ is setting itself to become the number one destination store of its kind in Sussex, let alone Eastbourne.
On top of everything mentioned above they have the full support of established local charity ‘WynterCon’. ‘Not Just A Comic Shop’ will become a hub/information centre for their work within the community and large annual event which will be celebrating its seventh birthday next year.
Things are looking bright for this trio and upon visiting the shop myself it’s not hard to see why. We highly recommend taking a visit to the new store, now open at the Enterprise Shopping Centre, Station Parade, Eastbourne, BN21 1BD. Also, keep up to date with the goings on in store by finding ‘Not Just A Comic Shop’ on Social Media. Details Below:
